Google Bans Huawei what you need to know

Huawei was blacklisted by the American government on allegations of spying on their users and the American people.

This blacklisting by the US government means that US companies are no longer permitted to do business with Huawei.

Google, a US company, currently sells it's Android operating service to Huawei and generates revenue on the play store through some Huawei interactions. Google has responded to the ban and has started the process of ending this business with Huawei.

This ban applies to all American businesses that have businesses transactions with Huawei and seems like another step in the trade war that is currently happening between the two countries.

In a shocking move, Intel and Qualcomm also cut off Huawei

Huawei has responded as:

“Huawei has made substantial contributions to the development and growth of Android around the world. As one of Android’s key global partners, we have worked closely with their open-source platform to develop an ecosystem that has benefitted both users and the industry.
Huawei will continue to provide security updates and after-sales services to all existing Huawei and Honor smartphone and tablet products covering those that have been sold or still in-stock globally.
We will continue to build a safe and sustainable software ecosystem, in order to provide the best experience for all users globally.”
