Huawei Launched Honor 9X and 9X Pro With Pop-Up Cameras


Huawei's sub-brand officially launched the Honor 9X series.

Design and Display

Both smartphones have an identical design and feature a unique paint job that reflects an ‘X’ pattern. The camera sensors are vertically aligned on the top left and the fingerprint sensor is housed on the side. The duo will be sold in several colors including black, purple, red and blue.

Display-wise, the duo comes with a 6.59-inch display featuring 1080p resolution and a full-screen notch-less screen.

Internal and Storage

Internally, the smartphones are powered by HiSilicon Kirin 810 similar to the Huawei Nova 5. The basic 9X model comes in three variants:

4 GB RAM and 64 GB built-in storage
6 GB RAM and 64 GB built-in storage
6 GB RAM and 128 GB built-in storage
One the other hand, the Pro model has two variants:

8 GB RAM and 128 GB built-in storage
8 GB RAM and 256 GB built-in storage
Both models have a dedicated memory card slot for memory expansion.

Software-wise, the duo runs on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.1.

Cameras

Honor 9X features a dual-sensor rear camera with a 48 MP main sensor and 2 MP depth sensor. The Pro version, on the other hand, has the above-mentioned sensors in addition to an extra 8 MP ultra-wide sensor.

On the front, both smartphones feature a single 16 MP shooter.

Battery and Pricing

Both the phones feature a 4000 mAh battery charged over USB type C at 10W. The smartphones will be available for sale in China on 30th July and the current pricing is also for China.
