Redmi Launches K20 & K20 Pro the cheapest flagship killers

Redmi launches the two new cheapest flagship phones the K20 and K20 Pro.

The K20 comes in the upper mid-range category while the Redmi K20 pro is the first flagship for the company. Both phones come with the triple rear camera setup, a pop-up selfie camera, and in-display fingerprint reader.

Redmi K20 and K20 Pro feature a similar design and display. The rear shell comes with a 3D curved glass with a unique painted pattern. The rear camera sensors are vertically arranged in the center on top of the dual LED flash.

Coming to the front, there’s a 6.39-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2340) AMOLED display. The screen features a tall aspect ratio since the selfie camera sits in a pop-up mechanism on the top. The display has DC dimming and an eye protection mode as well.

Both the phones have 7th generation optical in-display fingerprint readers as well, promising fast unlock times. Redmi K20 and K20 Pro will come in three colors: Red, Glacier blue and carbon black.

Internal and Storage:

There’s a slight difference here between the two. The K20 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset accompanied by 6 or 8 GB RAM with a maximum of 256 gigs of in-built storage.

On the other hand, Redmi K20 comes with a Snapdragon 730 paired with up to 6 GB RAM and 128 gigs of built-in storage.

The phones come with 8-layers of graphite sheets on the inside that provide heat dissipation. For an enhanced gaming experience, the duo has Game Turbo 2.0 support that allocates all the resources of the phone for gaming. Redmi is also selling a custom gamepad designed for the K20 siblings.

The phones run on MIUI 10 flavored Android 9.0 pie.

Cameras:

Cameras of both phones are gaining immense attention. The Redmi K20 Pro features a triple sensor camera unit on the back with a Sony IMX586 48 MP main sensor (f/1.8 aperture), seconded by a 13 MP super wide sensor with 124.8 degrees field of view and an 8MP telephoto lens that provides 2x optical zoom ability.

The rear camera features 960 fps slow-motion video recording. Apart from this, it comes with AI scene recognition, a night mode, and a handheld super night mode.

The K20 also features a triple sensor rear camera with the same specifications except, instead of the IMX586 48 MP main sensor there’s an IMX582 48-megapixel sensor.

Selfie camera wise, both phones feature a single sensor camera with 20 MP resolution. The selfie camera in both models sits on a pop-up mechanism.
